XLR8... Designed in Psyberspace & created on planet Earth by Ryet since the year 2000.

XLR8's origin and inspiration is the international psy-trance scene, which concentrates in Goa, India. Our very first designs were sold on the famous fleamarket on Anjuna beach in 2000, and things started rolling from there. In the years following, XLR8 presented itself on the market areas of the bigger European electronic dance festivals such as Boom Festival in Portugal, Voov & Antaris in Germany, Solaluna in Greece. Other continents were visited, such as Australia and South Africa, mostly concentrating on stalls at the bigger outdoor dance festivals.
Today, XLR8 is permanently based in Bali, Indonesia and even though our range of customers has expanded way beyond the trance scene,  we still stay close to our source and present our new collection first on Anjuna fleamarket every year, at the start of season in November....

From start to finish, our garments are patterned & manufactured in Bali (Indonesia) in small, 100% sweatshop-free facilities that are family owned and operated.
We choose to use materials that are known for durability and long-life. By selecting fabrics that last longer than conventional fabrics, we are able to produce clothing with longer lifecycles than the average garment. We aim to create pieces that are fashion-forward but also timeless for the same reason: designs that are stylish but that can also be worn for multiple seasons and that surpass trends are less likely to end up in landfills.

After nine years of psynomadic travel and availability only in underground outlets all over the globe, we are now ready for the Web!
New creations are always in orbit and will appear here when sampled.
XLR8's production will continue all year round. All designs shown now are made to order (see order page for conditions).
